Julie Hermansen has strong family links to dyslexia, and knows all too well the impact of non-remediated dyslexia. Julie’s enthusiasm for an officially recognised parent voice for dyslexia meant that she did not rest until she had rallied the troops and got ‘Code Read Dyslexia Network’ up and running!
Julie has been instrumental in running national Dyslexia Campaigns “My Red Letter for Dyslexia’ in 2016 & 2017 and the Get Onboard for Dyslexia Campaign in 2018. Julie and her daughter Isley also launched an international Campaign “Like a Dyslexic” in 2015, which caught the attention & support of Sir Richard Branson.
Julie has a background in various areas including administration, small business and more recently a Communications role with fellow Not for Profit charity, Sailors with disAbilities.
Julie is also an Administrator of the 12,000 strong national group Dyslexia Support Australia on Facebook.
